KYP is a leading VCSE organisation established in 1979. We are dedicated to engaging and working with local people and diverse communities of Rochdale for the social and economic development of the borough.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Development Manager to join our organisation. We are seeking a talented, passionate and experienced individual to lead our teams to support business continuity, diversity and growth. You will have a proven track record within the VCSE or public sector of securing new business/funding opportunities, whilst leading and motivating staff to achieve organisational targets and outcomes and enabling us to extend our reach and support to the communities.

You will contribute to organisational growth and success by building lasting relationships with BAME and other disadvantaged communities, VCSE and public sector partners, employers, our learners, beneficiaries, clients and customers to meet our business plan targets

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To lead on a range of income generating activities; develop and grow our business to ensure continuity by identifying opportunities for funding from a range of sources and developing high quality proposals.

To develop ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities in line with our strategic ambitions, putting together proposal and tender documents, identifying suitable partners, presenting proposals and closing deals.

To lead and support staff in the successful development, implementation and delivery of programmes/initiatives by working closely with communities, funders and other partners leading to improvements in the economic and social well-being of our communities

To maintain and develop relationships with strategic bodies and agencies that enhance KYP’s aims and objectives.
