More about your role As a Development Manager for our residential developments across Central England you will be responsible for supporting project cost, planning, marketing, programming, procurement and management under the direction of the Regional Head of Developments. You will support in the delivery of a programme of development schemes including; major projects, partnership deals and land-led opportunities.

You will be responsible for the whole life cycle of sourcing land opportunities through to pre-construction and the start of on-site construction. Negotiating terms for the acquisition of land or property and managing the purchase process are key to this role. You will take an active role in the planning process and working with stakeholders including local authorities to agree S106 and public consultation activities.

More about you You will have a track record in delivering a scope of works related to residential projects, preference will be shown to Development Managers who have taken projects from land acquisition to construction. It would also be highly advantageous if you have pre-existing relationships within the Midlands and be able to call upon these to help identify development opportunities or when working through complex planning with local authorities.

Ideally you will have broad experience of all housing of all tenures including housing for affordable rent, low cost home ownership, housing for outright sale, market rent, intermediate rent and key-worker accommodation. You will be highly numerate and as at ease analysing and making changes to complex financial models/appraisals as you are negotiating land deals. This role is home based, as you will attend meetings in Derby and cover sites across Central England ideally you will be based in the Midlands, you will also need to be geographically mobile.
