What You Can ExpectReporting to the Development Assoc Director, the candidate will be based in the Bridgend Core Product Innovation (CPI) team. They will have responsibility for the maintenance, design and development of Class III hip & Knee joint replacement products and associated surgical instrumentation.How You Create Impact
  • Creation and maintenance of Design History Files, ensuring compliance with Company & international Regulatory Frameworks.
  • Planning and execution of Verifications & Validation activities linked to Design and Risk Management activities.
  • Provide technical support for renewal of Design Examination Certificates and Post Market Surveillance.
  • Provide support for new & existing Hip and Knee products, including training of teams for new product introductions.
  • Support of CAPA’s and customer complaints.
What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Recent graduate ideally to Masters level in Materials Science, Mechanical or Medical Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills
What Will Make You Successful
  • Good understanding of procedures and concept within development department.
  • Basic knowledge of Zimmer Biomet and competitor products. In depth knowledge related to project work.
  • Demonstrates an ability to apply engineering principles to the business environment as appropriate for this level.
  • Demonstrates a modest level of innovation and development of intellectual property.
  • Ability to seek and interpret information to process customer complaints, engineering changes and NCR’s.
  • Shows ability to balance Marketing, manufacturing and Design requirements to met project requirements.
  • Evaluates and resolves problems by applying appropriate solutions from previous practice and similar experiences.
  • Can apply current technologies to technology to solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to methodically investigate and resolve problems
  • Can identify potential issues and can recommend and act upon appropriate solutions.
  • Engineering drawings, GD&T, Tolerance stacks, Anatomy, Application of FEA Analysis and mechanical testing.
  • Solving a variety of design issues. Complaint and adverse event processing.
  • Monitors his/her portion of project performance against the project schedules and budget.
  • Ability to lead development aspects of the project as a core team member
