We are looking for a Despatch Manager to lead our Despatch team in our site at Bromborough, Wirral.

The main purpose of the role is to lead the team and ensuring that all product is despatched accurately whilst adhering to appropriate procedures, maximising customer service and minimising waste. Work as part of Senior team to develop site and business strategy and identify and deliver Continuous Improvement opportunities.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all operations within the department are carried out in line with standard operating procedures, including full implementation and documentation to guarantee the integrity of the product during storage and transportation. You will be accountable for the appropriate storing and rotation of all product held within the department. You will lead your team to ensure all product is despatched accurately, within specified schedules and ensure all quality requirements, including temperature specifications are fully adhered to. You will manage the health and safety of the area, people and methods of work and carry out risk assessments and associated actions.?

You will be IOSHH trained, Level 3 Food Hygiene qualified and be able to demonstrate proven experience of leading a busy despatch function and team.

You will be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to relate to and motivate staff through coaching, mentoring and development. You must have excellent organisational skills, be commercially aware and able to make decisions and act within appropriate timescales which meet the needs of both the business and its customers. SAP Stock Control and Despatch would be of an advantage.
