Design Technology Teacher

Location: York, North Yorkshire Start Date: September 2021

Salary: £140 to £180 per day*

GSL Education Hull are recruiting a Design Technology Teacher to work within a Client Multi Academy Trust from September 2021. This is a great opportunity for a Newly Qualified Teacher looking for their induction to be completed, or to gain more experience before seeking a permanent contract, or for a Fully Qualified Teacher seeking a change in pace, better work-life balance, or simply after a new challenge.

As a Design Technology Teacher Your Responsibilities Will Include

Planning and delivering DT lessons up to and including at GCSE standard (please note that any Design Technology subjects will be considered).

Help devise engaging and creative lessons.

Use all available resources to engage young people.

Follow the ethos and policies of the Multi Academy Trust, promoting positive behaviour throughout the School.

Promote independent learning for all pupils.

Take part in staff training days, staff meetings and parent’s evenings.

Minimum Candidate Requirements

Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have recent experience teaching Design Technology at GCSE, BTEC or A-Level standard in an education setting.

Be able to provide 2 professional references, relating to your teaching within the last 2 years.

Be a passionate educator with an understanding of how special educational needs affects young people’s teaching and learning methods.

Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
