Our client is a highly successful and multi-award-winning small business working in the construction industry offering a bespoke, high-end product to both individual and corporate customers. Due to continued business success, they need to recruit the services of an experienced Design Technician to join their busy design department. In return, you will work for an organisation that can offer longevity, job security and the opportunity to develop within this role.

Main responsibilities:

  • To work within the design department of a specialist design and build company.
  • You will be responsible for designing and costing bespoke installations including associated design drawing work.
  • Working alongside the rest of the design team.
  • Preparation of CAD design project drawing packages and associated design work.
  • Preparation of REVIT design project drawing packages and associated design work.
  • Attend internal design meetings and liaise with end clients, architects, engineers, and interior designers in a confident and proactive manner.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced in Mechanical & Electrical Design
  • Experienced in the use of Revit and CAD
  • Knowledge / previous experience within the construction industry.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural technical drawings and schematics.
  • Self-motivated and able to self-manage when required.
  • Build good working relationships with other parties both internal and external.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm.
  • Hybrid working is available after the initial training period with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
