The Design Manager Will
  • Review and evolve the company’s brand, creating guidelines, and defining the look & feel, of all content, external marketing communications, and online / marketplace presence
  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring adherence, consistency and quality
  • Initially working in a hands-on design capacity, but wit the expectation that the role will become increasingly hands-off as the team grows and the role evolves in to Head of Design.
  • Challenge and influence at senior level, direct and inspire the creative team
  • Typical activity: Product and promotional campaigns across web content, video, social, emails, adverts, paid media, event collateral, marketplace assets, briefing photo and video shoots and influencers / ambassadors
Role

The successful Design Manager may currently be in a Senior Designer, Senior Creative, Creative Director, Brand Designer, Branding Specialist, Brand Manager role or similar, and either in-house or agency, and will come with some or ideally all of the following
  • Commercially minded with strengths in strategic and creative thinking
  • A good manager of people, keen to lead by example, promoting high standards and working to develop team members
  • Willingness to grow the team, leading recruitment activity
  • Experienced in dealing with / briefing external suppliers and resource
  • Hands on designer with strengths in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience working with or for an ecommerce business
