EuroCaps are a world class Soft Gelatin Capsule Contract Manufacturer. We supply the nutritional supplement and OTC markets across Europe and worldwide. Based in Tredegar, South Wales and founded in 1994, we operate from a state-of-the-art GMP facility which has seen over £20m invested in our facilities and innovative new product lines, we are also licensed by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

We specialise in the manufacture of complex, vegetarian and speciality softgels, simply providing one the highest quality softgel products available. We manufacture over 2.5 billion softgel capsules per year and currently employ around 300 people.

We are part of DCC Health and Beauty Solutions, a subsidiary of DCC Healthcare who are a FTSE100 UK company with more than £13 billion turnover and over 13,500 employees worldwide.

We have two sites in South Wales with our main manufacturing facility based in Crown Business Park, Tredegar, and an engineering facility which is currently based in Pontypridd (CF37 1NY) which is due to relocate around July 2023 to the Rassau Industrial Estate in Tredegar.

DESIGN ENGINEER (GRADUATE)

We are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Design Engineer, with a degree in Design Engineering, to our talented workforce. Reporting into the Project Engineering Manager, with a dotted line into the General Manager, the Graduate Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, reverse engineering and modelling / drawing of precision engineered parts for the EuroCaps manufacturing facility. This role will be aligned with our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System which is a key part of how we operate within the engineering facility to fulfil our customer requirements.

Key responsibilities:

· Planning of project documentation in line with senior/engineering managers

· Design of new product to customer specifications using SolidWorks

· Reverse engineering of customer products for manufacture

· Ability to use various measuring equipment

· Maintaining drawing records including drawing revision status

· Authorisation to approve drawings

· To work within our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System ensuring documented procedures are correctly followed

· Raise issues to management regarding work plan conflicts

· To train others when required

· To ensure cleanliness of equipment and that machines are maintained to the required standard

· To ensure all activities follow our standing operating procedures (SOP’s)

· To highlight any non-conforming product, shortage or forthcoming issues as soon as possible

Who are we looking for?

- You will have attained a degree in design engineering from a recognised University (E)

- Any additional relevant qualifications/ training/ CPD hours would be highly advantageous (D)

- You will be computer literate to intermediate level with packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook (E)

- Any experience of SolidWorks would be great, but not essential (D)

- Ability to work well as part of a small, close-knit team (E)

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels (E)

- A flexible approach (E)

- A methodical and systematic approach, with an eye for detail (E)

- Experience of working in the pharmaceutical/ food manufacturing sector (D)
