The business specialises in the design, installation, service, and maintenance of integrated security systems. They work with a wide range of public and private sector businesses (for example, retirement communities, and universities) and have achieved a reputation for quality, care and reliability which is second to none.

Due to the Company’s growth strategy and continued success (turnover rose from £15 to 18 Million, and 25 is the next aim), they are looking to expand the capacity of the Design Department within the Head Office in Mansfield by 1/3. Graduates play a key part in the plan, and have previously done well with the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to start your career within the security and communications industry- there will be loads of great future prospects.

You will be preparing design proposals and costing sheets from client specifications and drawings for various communication, life safety and security systems. And production of design documents such as: Technical Submittals, Schematics, Layouts, etc.

You will need to have an ability to interpret technical requirements and understand building layouts and schematics. Though training will be given on specifics.

There is a focus on ongoing development, and you will be completing a range of training courses to increase technical competency and performance.

You will be building successful working relationships with customers and other employees.

Your degree can be Engineering (Electronics / Electrical), IT, or Software related (particularly if there is a focus on networks).

Some familiarity with AutoCAD would be ideal, though some training can be given.

You will need to be based within commutable distance of Mansfield (for example, Chesterfield, Nottingham, or Sheffield)- though if you are in Birmingham this may be considered, as there is a site there- though it’s not ideal as the design office is not there.
