Tradewind are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled DT Technician to join a dynamic team at a secondary school in Worksop. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Design and Technology department in providing an outstanding education for our students. Key Responsibilities of the Design and technology technician: Maintaining and organising the DT department and its equipment, including stocktaking, ordering and preparing materials and tools for lessons Assisting with the setting up and dismantling of equipment and resources for practical lessons Providing technical support to teachers and students during practical sessions, including demonstrating techniques and ensuring safe use of equipment Conducting regular checks and maintenance of equipment, reporting any faults or necessary repairs to the relevant person Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed in the DT department Managing and maintaining the 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC machinesThe Ideal Candidate: Experience of working within a DT department, including using and maintaining equipment Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and students Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures Knowledge of 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC machining is desirable DBS on the update serviceThe school is a vibrant and friendly place to work with a supportive and dedicated team.
