Vacancy - Deputy Port Director (Mersey)

Responsibilities

The Deputy Port Director role, within the Mersey Division, will support the strategic delivery of customer account management, operational support and on shift service delivery (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year) for all customers throughout the Mersey division.

Responsibilities Will Also Include
  • Support the Port Director with determining and delivering on the execution of the divisions strategic plans
  • Talent Management across multi-disciplines including a clear development, progression, succession planning strategy
  • Monitor and control all legal and statutory requirements
  • Ensure the achievement, through Visible Felt Leadership, of EHS objectives
  • Deliver revenue and EBITDA which meets or exceeds annual budgets and work with the Business to put in place interventions as necessary, with agreement from the Port Director
  • Provide forecasting information for the cluster as a whole
  • Ensure efficient, safe operational delivery and practices to deliver optimum customer services
  • Provide the Port Director with regular KPI metrics and forecasts for the division as a whole, and attend any internal meetings as required
Skills And Experience
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, ideally gained in a fast paced, industrial environment
  • Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrable experience of driving commercial and operational performance
  • A good understanding of all relevant EHS requirements and ability to ensure all EHS objectives are met
  • Previous experience of working alongside Trade Unions would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation
