Do you love club nights, live music and large-scale events?

If the answer is yes, this job could be the one for you! As Deputy Head of Venues at Cardiff Students’ Union, you will be leading our events provision. Our weekly student club nights have seen over 125,000 students through the door during the 21/22 academic year. Cardiff Box Office will also be under your remit to develop and grow our live music calendar, whilst working with the UK leading live music promoters such as Live Nation, SJM and locally based organisations such as Orchard.

The role is a permanent full-time position. It offers an excellent working environment and benefits package including 34 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.

The Venues Department boasts the largest licensed night-time venue in Wales. It comprises six venues across the Students’ Union including the iconic Taf Pub, Nightclub and Live music venue. The department has responsibility for all provision of entertainment, bars, catering and conferencing facilities and we deliver approximately 300 events per year.

We are looking for a Deputy Head of Venues - Events responsible for delivering all aspects of the organisation’s events and entertainment services with a focus on creativity and innovation in delivering the best possible customer experience. The successful candidate will have strong nightclub and large-scale events experience. They will be able to manage their time effectively whilst working in a fast-paced environment whilst evidencing that they have a level of technical knowledge linked and relevant to the job description.
