Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for assuring professional standards and practice in all aspects of community nursing, are achieved within the Directorate, including adherence to statutory and professional regulations. He/she will establish strong integrated multi-disciplinary teams to drive through service redesign encouraging a learning and development culture. The post holder will support the Head of Community Nursing in implementing the Quality Improvement Strategy and will establish a robust performance framework for providing assurance of the delivery of this domain.

The post holder will manage finance for a designated devolved budget for the nursing and support staff budget, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and in a manner consistent with the Area Operational Plan and the Health Board’s overall objectives. He/she will support the Directorate Operational Manager in providing leadership, management and innovation, across the Directorate, in relation to strategic planning, financial control, clinical policy, Governance and management of clinical activity, to ensure Directorate plans and their implementation reflect the Health Board’s corporate objectives.
