Assistant / Deputy Head of Finance

We have an excellent opportunity to work for non-for-profit organisation in Aldershot as Assistant / Deputy Head of Finance

The Opportunity

Overall the role reports to the Head of Finance and supervising two team members for day to day finance duties:

1 Supervision of invoice payments and postings to system.

2 Process payroll, related HMRC returns, pension requirements. Helping with personnel records.

3 Supervision and control of income.

4 Controlling Petty cash and online banking

5 Weekly bank reconciliations, cash flow management.

6 Providing assistance to the Head of Finance with periodic financial reports, annual audit and budget / forecasting.

7 Help with financial input for ad-hoc and special projects.

Candidates

We are looking for someone with:
  • At least 2 years Finance experience.
  • MS Excel intermediate skill and eager to learn and use bespoke and latest Accounting Systems
  • AAT qualified or cima / ACCA part qualified
  • A team player approach
  • Preferably local to Farnborough, Aldershot
