The ICIS Energy Vision is to be the Integrated Energy Experts, guiding our customers through the energy transition.

We are looking for an experienced deputy editor to join our clean fuels editorial team in our new offices at the heart of The City, London, covering developments across Europe and globally.

You will report on key themes within hydrogen and other clean fuels markets by producing data-driven, original content on a regular basis while also conducting research to support the editor and analyst teams. You will also produce market commentary to support ICIS hydrogen price discovery.

You will support the energy transition fuels editor by coordinating and commissioning a regular flow of content.

Working with our analyst team, you will conduct in-depth research on projects across Europe to support our long-term forecasts and modelling.

You will be expected to enhance the ICIS profile, engaging with stakeholders across the industry, building new contacts and presenting at conferences. International travel is encouraged.

You will collaborate closely with other business functions and contribute ideas related to new coverage and products, with the aim of expanding the ICIS business and meeting customer needs.

Your responsibilities:

  • Writing insightful news, market analysis and assessing prices
  • Liaise with clean fuels analyst team to develop data-driven content
  • Expanding clean fuel price discovery and assessments, including hydrogen
  • Researching clean fuel projects across European markets
  • Building and nurturing an international network of industry contacts

Skills and behaviours we look for:

  • Knowledge or interest in markets and economics
  • High degree of numerical accuracy
  • Experience of working with Excel/Excel-based tools
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Other European languages would be an advantage
  • Price/commodities reporting or knowledge of energy markets would be an advantage but is not required
