Broadmoor hospital is part of West London NHS Trust and one of only three High Secure hospitals in England.

In December 2019 we moved into our brand new amazing state of the art High Secure hospital.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Deputy Director of Security. The post holder will have a proven track record as a leader with the ability to lead and influence teams in delivering a high quality Security focused approached while balancing this against Care within a High Secure Hospital.

We are looking for a candidate with the drive, enthusiasm and vision to support the director of Security in delivering the very best security we can, supporting the delivery of great clinical care and making a positive impact on our patients’ lives.

The successful individual will be able to demonstrate innovation, and has the desire to contribute to shaping and delivering modern mental health care in a high secure setting.

The successful candidate will be Responsible for the operational delivery of security for high secure services and ensuring that it is done safely, effectively and can withstand auditable scrutiny at all times. Ensuring that the Trust maintains compliance with The High Security Psychiatric Services (Arrangements for Safety and Security) Directions 2019, the National Clinical Security Framework and Trust Policies. Evaluating security risks and developing and implementing appropriate management and contingency plans.

Supporting the Director of Security for the coordination and delivery of all high secure services major and critical incident plans; as well as overseeing emergency planning, resilience and response (EPRR) and high secure service business continuity plans. Liaising with local EPRR leads and supporting the Trust Accountable Emergency Officer to ensure EPRR standards are regularly reviewed and maintained.
