Job title:Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager

Location:RAF Leeming. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary:£60,000+

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working with the Senior Management Team at RAF Leeming you will be responsible for discharging the Part M regulatory requirements set out be the MAA in accordance with the corporate framework across the Fleet of Hawk aircraft
  • You will be ensuring the aircraft are available when they are required, at the right standard and maintained by the right people
  • Overseeing tactical and strategic fleet management
  • Ensuring reportable events are investigated and resolved appropriately
  • Is responsible for discharging the governance across the Organisation that is required by the role to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Part M Regulations (RA 4900 (e.g. MRP Part M)
  • Ensuring that the Continuing Airworthiness Assurance System required by MIL Part M (or equivalent) is effective, in both its application and through any actions taken to address findings
  • Ensuring that the Accountable Manager is informed of any condition of an aircraft or aircraft component which could impact safety

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Background in Part M and operating fleet of aircraft particularly Fast Jet
  • The role requires the breadth to think strategically across the CAMO support organisation and all of its constituent activities and functions
  • Proven track record of Operational management within a Support Environment and can demonstrate compliance with MAOS/DAOS (Maintenance Approved Organisation Scheme)/Design Approved Organisation Scheme) regulations
  • Be registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards this
  • Engineering/Aircraft background

The Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation Team

The Deputy Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager (DMilCAM) is responsible for the co-ordination of all appropriate areas to ensure compliance with the relevant continuing airworthiness and maintenance requirements of both the customer contracts and Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Function. It will include activities to any Hawk aircraft operating under the accountability of the BAE Systems Accountable Manager (Military Flying), including deputising for the Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager (MilCAM) during periods of absence.
