As our Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Treforest Depot and all services provided; covering plant, operated services, labour, lighting & power.

What you will be doing
  • You will support the Regional Operations manager and ensure that all services provided are done so with safety at the forefront of everything you do.
  • We expect you to manage a Depot turning over several Million pounds worth of revenue, so a good appreciation of how a balance sheet is made up or cost controls is essential.
  • Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Railway infrastructure and rail plant and is a holder of a Personal Track Safety Certificate along with a full driving licence and IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are the key to making your depot a success, forging long term relationships with your workforce and the key contacts of your many customers.
What you will be looking for
  • Knowledge of the Railway Infrastructure/geographic area/rail plant/hire business.
  • Knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including word, excel and powerpoint
  • Heath/Safety/Environmental Management
  • Experienced at communicating critical information to all levels within the business
  • Knowledge of budgeting/cost control processes
  • City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. (preferable)
  • Experienced Manager of resources.
  • Business Studies Diploma or equivalent (preferable)
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (preferable)
  • Holder of PTS Certificate
  • Clean Driving licence
