Your Key Responsibilities

Core Activities
  • A service as per SWI
  • B service as per SWI
  • New fleet acceptance
  • Be able to carry out control equipment replacement and parameter change
  • Multi generator synchronising
  • Minor and major repair of all fleet
  • Pre dispatch inspections
Electrical
  • Basic electrical fault finding < 1500v dc and <1000v ac
  • Alternator configuration
  • Load testing of fleet
  • Low voltage switching
  • Low voltage maintenance
  • Low voltage isolation
  • Carry out main alternator maintenance process
Temperature Control
  • TC accessories test procedure
  • A service oil fired heaters as per SWI
  • A service Oil fired boilers as per SWI
  • Repair of all MC fleet
QHSE
  • Maintain the yard and workshop in a neat and tidy state in accordance with Aggreko GSCS
  • Ensure all yard/workshop equipment in safe/good working order
  • LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) used
  • Reports all near misses and any incidents
  • Up to date on all QHSE topics
  • Complies with PPE rules
  • Complies with site rules
Administration
  • Maintain QHSE and legally required documentation
  • Ensure tracking of equipment movements in and out of depot
  • Complete all necessary reports on equipment
  • To complete mobility reporting in real time
  • Daily completion of time sheets using Handhelds
  • Comply with Stock Control procedures

Other
  • Unloading and loading of vehicles
  • The duties described above cover the main focus of the role, however from time to time you may be required to carry out any other duties which are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business. This may include but is not limited to Field Based Servicing or Delivery duties as and when the need arises.

  • Fleet availability targets met and maintained
  • GSCS met and maintained
  • Reliability of fleet in area > 90%
  • No stock control discrepancies
  • Mobility data delivered in real time
Sounds like you? Here’s what you’ll need to demonstrate:

Education / Qualifications
  • Mechanical and or Electrical apprenticeship
  • Alternatively, a City & Guilds/ONC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • If not qualified to above standard, person must still have a good grounding in mechanical/electrical engineering and be willing to undertake training to attain this qualification.

Professional Skills / Experience
  • Technical capability (power and ideally temperature control)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications

Personal Skills / Experience
  • Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
  • Committed to maintaining standards in accordance with 5S
  • Able to manage a client’s expectations when under pressure, regardless of the situation

Other Requirements
  • Committed to maintaining standards in accordance with 5S
  • Must hold a full, clean and valid driving licence
  • Must be able to work out of hours as and when required, and be part of the on-call rota
