This exciting role in Health Education England (HEE) is for a highly motivated and enthusiastic dental therapist to work as part of a team to develop, support and manage the delivery of the Dental Therapy Foundation Training programme.

The role entails the organisation management of the Dental Therapy Foundation Training (DTFT) Programme. This includes working to develop the DTFT Study Day Programme, leading Milestone Study Days, developing induction day teaching, monitoring and supporting portfolio completion, providing IRCP and FRCP panel reports, supporting trainees and Educational Supervisors in the training practice, assisting ES’s to deliver targeted training (where necessary), running mid-year appraisals for ES’s and pastoral support for trainees + assessments within the training practice, supporting the Dental Dean and Associate Dean, working with other local offices nationally, liaising with undergraduate schools to promote DTFT and developing links with primary care to promote DTFT. The role will require the post holder to work closely with Foundation TPDs to ensure the diagnosis and treatment planning element of the programme is appropriate and evidenced to a satisfactory requirement (this is outside the scope of practice within NHS practice).

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 7 with a full-time starting salary of £41,659, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 5 years’ service.

These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
