Our client, a leading private dental care practise in Gerrard’s Cross, Buckinghamshire are looking for a registered dental nurse to join their team. The ideal candidate will be carrying out nursing duties throughout the practice, assisting with reception and carrying out any clerical duties as required. The ideal candidate must be registered with the General Dental Council. Salary Depends on Experience. Responsibilities of a Dental Nurse:
  • To perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting the dentists or therapist you have been appointed with, in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the ‘Code of Ethics’ of the British Association of Dental Nurses and the GDC requirements and recommendations to the dentists and their staff.
  • Check patient’s medical history information is up to date and advise the dentists or therapist of any problems they have noted.
  • To keep accurate records and ensure the recording methods are used in line with agreed practice policy, current medico-legal guidelines, and recommendations from official bodies.
  • To establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team.
  • Prepare the necessary materials and instruments.
  • Provide clinical assistance to the dentists/therapist while treating the patient, under his/her supervision.
  • Although this role is mainly clinical, it will also include reception and admin duties. Requirements of a Dental Nurse:
  • Must be a registered dental nurse.
  • If health educator or qualified to take x-rays, this is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience is preferred, however not paramount as all training will be provided
