We have an opening for a full-time or part-time, Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to work in the North of England covering UK wide. The successful person will have a good understanding of the construction industry and able to work with a positive attitude, they will hold the industry relevant qualification with a knowledge of materials quantities / construction and/or demolition, strong communication skills both written and verbal, excellent I.T. skills and must be able to work effectively with clients during tender process. This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified candidate who can play a part in securing new business for the Group. You will be responsible for tendering submissions for Selective Demolition projects. We also welcome semi-retired candidates to apply. You will have: The ability to thrive in pressure situations and work on own initiative when required and also know when to seek assistance as required.-Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills

  • You will be a hands-on, visiting sites, enthusiastic individual and investing in the company’s long-term success. You will be responsible for:
  • Calculating costs, quantities and time scales for projects. - A high level of math’s is required with SQA National qualification or equivalent
  • Health & Safety - i.e. RAMS
  • Searching and preparing Tender submissions & contract documents, including bid writing, with some admin assistance. . Proactively acquiring other small/medium contracts for demolition.
  • Valuing works and managing budgets and costs. This position would be suited to a Qualified QS. Benefits include Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

  • Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year (depending on experience).

  • The job is Monday to Friday with some flexibility depending on workload and project specifics. Experience:
  • Surveying: 4 years min (preferred) Licence/Certification:
  • UK Driving Licence (required)
  • CSCS card, Asbestos awareness
