What’s in it for me?

People Solutions are working with a leading producer & distributor of pre-package sandwiches and rolls.
We are looking for friendly drivers to join the team in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Initially this is on a temporary basis, however “temp to perm” opportunities are available based on performance.

There are two shift patterns available:

  • DAYS: Working Monday to Saturday with an average start time of 04:00 (4am). The pay rate for this role is £10.50 per hour, and an overtime rate of £13.13 is available for all hours worked over 42 hours.
  • NIGHTS: Working Sunday to Friday with an average start time of 18:00 (6pm). The pay rate for this role is £12.00 per hour, and an overtime rate of £14.88 is available for all hours worked over 42 hours per week.

You will be entitled to 28 days annual leave, on-site parking, weekly pay, and access to our Worker Portal in order to view pay slips and book holidays.

Day to Day Duties

Daily duties for all shifts will always include vehicle checks and ensuring your load is complete & safely secure before leaving.

  • DAYS: In this role, you will be delivering pre-packed sandwiches and roles to shops and petrol stations. The shops will be open whilst delivering, so this is a very straight-forward delivery role.
  • NIGHTS: In this role, you will be entering shops / cafes which on arrival may already be closed. Because of this, you will need to be confident enough to disable the alarm system (training provided on this), delivery the chilled, frozen & ambient stock into the store, and then re-arm the alarm before leaving.

Essential Skills

Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience of delivery van driving.

What training is provided?

Driving assessments completed the day before you officially start. On successful completion, a site paid induction will be carried out on your first working day.
