Our leading UK banking client is seeking a Defect Manager to join the bank, please see the details of the role below -If you are considering sending an application, make sure to hit the apply button below after reading through the entire description.Location: WFH and 1/2 days in the Edinburgh office per monthDuration: 6 months initial contract with potential extensionsYou will have experience of:Defect management.Agile methodologies.Senior stakeholder communication.Experience of working with offshore development & test teams would be beneficial, as you’ll be required to liaise with them to articulate the defect details needed to help the Product Owner and other stakeholders’ decision making.You will be required to:Provide direction and leadership on all defect management matters within the project, including communicating and adhering to challenging defect SLAs and producing defect reports for stakeholders.There will be a mixture of platform testing and SIT, as well as UAT and Dress Rehearsals.Support testing and project delivery, working with the relevant teams to ensure that project milestones are not impacted.Act both as a key stakeholder and key adviser in the test delivery of the project or programme of work.Make sure defects are detected and prioritised, based on impact, and resolved at the earliest possible moment, ensuring customer outcomes are delivered right first time.Support end-to-end test management, including planning, risk, issue, dependency management, lessons learnt and governance.Review all key test deliverables according to bank standards and making sure they are of sufficient quality and with no gaps or duplication.
