New Pay Rates for 2022

Sunseeker International is proud to announce a new pay rate structure for 2022, taking effect from 1 January 2022:

• Significant uplift to basic rate of pay - up to £14.50 per hour
• Plenty of overtime available - indicative earnings of £35,000 based on 5 overtime hours (x1.5) per week
• Efficiency/performance bonus - £80 per month
• Further increases coming in July 2022

Who we are seeking

We are now recruiting skilled Deck Fitters to join the Sunseeker family in Portland. As a Sunseeker Deck/Mechanical Fitter, you will work predominantly across the exterior of our remarkable products. A Deck/Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for making incisions into our GRP hulls, fitting various external features such as chrome cleats, and assisting with a small degree of carpentry where requested.

Example Responsibilities include:

As a Deck/Mechanical Fitter you will work across various boat lines of our extensive product range, completing work such as:

• Cutting and trimming of GRP components.
• Drilling, tapping and fitting GRP mouldings, stainless steel components and all exterior fittings.
• All external glazing of the hulls and decks / superstructure.
• Being able to work as a team fitting large structures which could include flybridges, patio doors, spa tubs and wetbars.

Our ideal candidate:

• Have the ability to read and understand scaled drawings (1:10s)
• Have the ability to work to tight tolerances with high value lacquered veneers and solid wood products
• Have a coachable and positive attitude, with a desire to pursue perfection

What to expect:

All applicants will be required to attend a brief skills assessment at our West Quay Road facility, to help us identify the most suitable area of our team for you to join. This assessment will also support us in understanding your capabilities, correctly identifying the appropriate rate of pay that you should receive. This assessment will be at 09:00 on a Friday morning.
