Job title - Senior Project Manager

Location - Remote/ Travel to Slough or Leeds once a week

Contract length: 3 month rolling contract

Day Rate- £597 Umbrella £444 PAYE

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a leading business that specialise in Telecommunications

The Role

The Portfolio Delivery Team reside in the Product and Proposition team within the Mobile Division, we are responsible for delivering projects/programmes in support of the annual plan. Projects are across all segments within Consumer.

Recent examples of projects the team have delivered are - the launch of Custom Plans, Extras, Disney plus, Apple music, Financing, VOLT and the companies Response to the end of contract notifications regulatory changes.

The responsibilities

The role holder will be responsible for end to end management of projects/programmes
Successfully mobilise and manage the project from concept, through initiation and implementation into early life within the project constraints
Must ensure that projects are managed in accordance with VMO2’s standard project methodology. Quality, timely and within budget execution is of paramount importance
Ensure that there is appropriate governance in place with structured risk, issue and dependency management including escalating items in an appropriate and timely manner
Build and manage the end to end detailed project plan – ensuring all activities are tracked and any slippage is managed appropriately
Prepare and provide accurate and timely reporting to support the overall Mobile Portfolio governance
Provide accurate communications and reporting for all project activity. Ensure all stakeholders have information to perform their roles
Manage the key project considerations – e.g scope, time, quality, budget

Key Skills and experience required for the Senior Project Manager role

To demonstrate sound knowledge of project management and business change principles
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is key
Experience and certification in Project methodologies (e.g. Prince2, Prince2Agile, or APM)
Be organised and focussed in planning a broad and varied set of delivery & improvement activities – being clear about issues and how to resolve them
Ability to run cross functional meetings / workshops – bringing new ideas, debate and ideas to drive the best possible decisions and outcomes
Proactive and self sufficient
A proven track record of delivering products, programmes and value add initiatives
