Commercial Refrigeration Lecturer

Location: Ascot & Maidenhead with occasional travel around the UK

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000, car allowance + excellent benefits package

MCFT have recently been approved as the unique employer-providers of apprenticeships in commercial kitchen maintenance – both catering technicians and refrigeration technicians. As our Technical Academy grows – 27 recruits around the country in 2022, aiming for 35 in 2023 (1/3 refrigeration), we are looking for an experienced individual in the refrigeration field, with a proven history in technical training delivery.

Based at our practical facility in Ascot as well as HQ in Maidenhead, the Refrigeration Lecturer will carry out the delivery of refrigeration Technical Training to the apprentices joining the business and those already on their learning journey, in line with Ofsted guidelines. This role will also require travel to carry out evaluations and audits on apprentices working on sites alongside their coaches, ensuring all learning is being reflected in their work.

Reporting to our Technical Training and Development Manager, as a Technical Trainer you will be responsible for:

· Delivering refrigeration training to brand and industry standards.

· Supporting technical training content updates.

· Maintaining a safe working environment in the training workshops.

· Delivering positive success and satisfaction rates from delegate feedback through training delivery excellence.

· Using the Learning Management System to monitor and maintain the quality of the training to the apprentices.

· Conducting quarterly site audits on students.

· Conducting quarterly reviews on students.

· Working closely with the Technical Learning & Development Manager as well as the coaches allocated to each apprentice in the field and Team Leaders around the country.

· Ensuring apprentices are working to the highest standard and build their passion for quality, safety and refrigeration application.

· Stakeholder management is Key.

Qualifications:

· You will need to be qualified to Level 3 Award in Education & Training – assistance will be given in achieving this qualification.

· Demonstrable technical expertise and rounded industry knowledge.

· Good with people, excellent communicator, good written and spoken English, presentation skills.

· Passion for working to the highest standards in the refrigeration industry from the physics/chemistry of what is actually happening to practical applications of those in the repair and maintenance of units.
