Operations Manager - Slough COVID-19 Officers

Red Snapper Managed Services are currently searching for an Operations Manager to oversee the COVID-19 Officer team, ensuring the smooth delivery of the project while working closely with the client council.

You will be expected to work four (4) days a week between Monday and Sunday until theend of September 2021 – likely to be extended into 2022. You will start early July 2021.

The role pays a daily rate of£160.00 PAYE (incl. holiday roll-up) per day.

A bit about us:

Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) provides professional investigation, community safety and enforcement support services to authorities working within the criminal investigation, enforcement, criminal justice and offender management sectors.

Operational Planning for the team will include:

• Daily tasking’s for the team

• Rota system and planning

• Patrol planning

• Operational management of the team

• Performance management of the team – drive performance

• Quality Assurance on work outputs

• Safety and welfare of officers – H&S and Risk management

• Ensure professionalism of the team i.e. uniform, conduct, behavior, productivity and customer service

• Disciplinary if required

You will also liaise closely with the client, ensuring we support them with all of their objectives.

The team:

Our Slough COVID-19 Officers provide a professional, smart and high-visibility patrolling presence, ensuring that the latest government guidance is being followed and that the local community are kept safe. This includes:

• Advice and education to business and the public

• Capturing and reporting evidence and intelligence of non-compliance

• Dissemination of information on best practice

• Monitoring of signs and physical measures to ensure compliance

• Work closely with other multi-agency partners (police, community safety, environmental)

The COVID-19 team act as ‘eyes and ears’ on the ground; COVID-19 Officers are responsible for advising on any breaches of social distancing and where necessary, reporting ongoing problems for further intervention.

Person Specification:

• Recent management experience in a law enforcement setting is ideal; we are looking for the rank of Sergeant or equivalent.

• Someone who is capable of quickly adapting to the use of new technology.

• A professional with proven experience of operational planning.

Experience of completing witness statements and completing relevant forms.

All roles will be subject to DBS clearance.
