Gas Seal Strip and Inspect Technician

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Gas Seal Strip and Insect Technician to join the onsite team in Slough. In role you will specialise within the strip and inspection of all dry gas seals, performing root cause analysis (RCA) to fault find and problem solve on faulty seals within a fast-paced work environment.

• Build/disassemble Gas Seals in line with company quality/productivity standards whilst ensuring company HSE procedures are complied with.
• Strip & Inspect seals post test
• Prepare seals for shipment & wrap and Pack seals
• Complete all relevant documentation, SAP information, Visual Factory compliance
• Complete 5S audits and actions & participate in CI activities within area
• Train technicians and apprentices when required
• Participate in daily departmental meetings

• We ideally require candidates to be apprenticeship trained with relevant qualifications (for example craft apprentice, BTEC Level 3, NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent)
• Understand work instructions and technical drawings (Gas seal experience is high desirable)
• Good IT skills
• Basic understanding of CI tools
• Good communication skills (internal & external customers may witness build)
