eCommerce Channel Manager (Black + Decker), UK

Location: Slough – Flexible (25% onsite – once restrictions are lifted, currently fully remote / Virtual)

Purpose

With a strong and established traditional retailer business the Black + Decker brand is looking to enter new product categories and hyper grow on eCommerce platforms.

This role is focused on winning with eCommerce pure players by optimizing our new product launches with our eCommerce partners helping the business unit achieve its growth targets and gain market share.

Organization: Black + Decker – Power Tools, Household Cleaning, Lifestyle Categories

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Pan-EU launches on time and support the full spectrum of B+D categories (Power tools, Household cleaning appliances and new lifestyle products).
  • Drive focus to win online and drive the growth ambitions of the business.
  • Become the market expert on the new categories Black + Decker is going to enter and translate that category knowledge into a digital commercial execution.
  • Working closely with the central product management team, central eCommerce team and regional European commercial teams, define product variations, build pricing strategies, and orchestrate pan-European launch plans.
  • Create and support European eCommerce channel product strategy and roadmap.
  • Design & execute Pan-European eCommerce product launches.
  • Manage pricing strategies in conjunction with product and channel teams.
  • Build relationships with central eCommerce team, regional commercial teams, Global customer experience team and B+D product managers.
  • Work closely with Content team to build content strategies that deliver high quality, compliant and re-usable content through relevant channels to the right audience at the right time.
  • Be the Ecommerce market expert on B+D Power tools, Household, Cleaning and Lifestyle categories
  • Use digital analytics tools to identify new market / category and understand opportunity sizes.
  • Gain high level management and market buy in of program launch strategies.
  • Understand key retailers/countries requirements and implement actions accordingly
  • Explore best practice in US and GEM to implement in EANZ.
Requirements
  • Degree, professional marketing / business qualification or equivalent through experience
  • 1-2 years of channel management / product management experience
  • Experience with eCommerce pure players / digital retail (desired)
  • Knowledge of European markets (desired)
  • Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Communication/listening skills – interaction with Senior Management and European markets
  • End User customer focused – understanding and delivering the needs of both internal and external customers
  • Both teamwork and leadership skills - essential to manage and drive other functions (i.e. local markets, supply chain) meet targets.
  • Planning skills / time management skills
  • Commercial awareness, understanding the industry, the market needs and trends.
