We are currently looking for a Cell Culture Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in Berkshire, on an initial 12 month contract. As the Cell Culture Scientist you will be responsible for supporting the creation of stable mammalian cell lines for protein expression.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Your duties as the Cell Culture Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
  • Working within lab and manufacturing scale mammalian cell expression systems and cell culture lab equipment (e.g. Vicells, Octet, AMBR and lab automation).
  • The Cell Culture Scientist will be responsible for using their experience with Molecular Biology techniques such as DNA sequencing and expression, ELISA, SDS Page.
  • Good user of lab software systems and working to SOP’s at all times.
Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Cell Culture Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
  • Relevant degree in a Scientific / Pharmaceutical / Biologics discipline (Ideally PhD or MSc / BSc holder with 1-2 years experience).
  • Proven experience in Molecular Biology techniques and protein purification data.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience with ELISA, SDS Page, affinity chromatography and ion exchange.
