Year 1 Teacher – Diverse School

Wayman Education is working with a vibrant and fun primary school based in Slough seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent Year 1 teacher for September. The children are hardworking, caring, inquisitive and imaginative and the staff here aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment, as a result we are seeking a primary teacher who knows how to drive attainment and create engaging lessons.

Responsibilities of a Year 1 teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective classes to Year 1 students based on the National Curriculum.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to students to encourage growth and development.
  • Create a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
  • Use data to inform teaching decisions and adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Suitable Applicants Must Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Year 1 in a primary school setting.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and how to tailor instruction to meet its requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality education to children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments and schools.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
