DC Security Gatehouse Operative

B&M are looking for Gatehouse Operatives to be part of our growing Security Department in our Distribution Centre based in Speke. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the Security industry and strong administrative skills. This is for a 24 hour contract, working 07:30-19:30 day shifts Saturdays and Sundays.Potential overtime may be available so the ideal candidate will be fully flexible.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in similar role
• Strong written communication with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Data Protection laws
• Knowledge of Health and Safety
• Experience in Conflict Management
• Experience in incident reporting and data input
• Strong personality and character to deal with difficult situations

Responsibilities of the role:

• Control all access of the site
• Booking vehicles in and out of the site
• Conduct thorough patrols with the support of CCTV
• Inputting data, weekly reports and incident report writing
• Vehicle and colleague searches
• Quick response where security intervention is needed
