DAY TECHNICIAN - RUGBY PLANTWorking Monday to Friday day shift, 42 hours a week , inclusive of paid breaks.
EXCELLENT SALARY PACKAGE
£46,280.05 plus annual bonus (subject to achievement of set KPIs)

We are searching for a Day Technician to perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Performing various manual or mechanical functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing high speed production equipment to meet customer specifications..

Main Purpose of the Position
As a member of the Engineering teams, the purpose of this role is to perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Performing various manual or mechanical functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing high speed production equipment to meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop safe working practices for routine and non-routine tasks
Develop and control of the Apriso system - completing assigned work orders in the agreed time frames
Identify and rectify process performance issues
Daily routine checks for plant and production equipment
Continuous monitoring of equipment condition
Carry out routine and planned overhauls
Carry out planned and ad hoc maintenance along with Height/diameter changes
Carry out mechanical improvements in the process
Support trials and new equipment installation and commissioning
Spare parts monitoring
Carry out unit spares rebuild as required
Training and support of personnel
Shift support/cover when required
Maintain housekeeping
Turning, milling and grinding work when required
FLT driving when required.
The above job description is the minimum requirement for this job position. It is also expected that the person will carry out any task requested by a supervisor or any task needed to improve the general performance of the Plant taking due account of skills and safety.

Professional Requirements
Qualifications
Time served Apprenticeship in an Engineering/Mechanical discipline or equivalent experience
HND/HNC or equivalent is desirable.
Electrical qualification an advantage
FLT License or willing to train
Languages
English, written and verbal
Computer Skills/literacy
Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
Experience/Attributes
Working knowledge of Health and Safety work practises.
Good communicator, team player and effective listener
Sound problem solving skills
Ability to demonstrate good decision making in a demanding, fast paced environment.
Must be action orientated and a desire to achieve results/persevere
Must be flexible and with appropriate training be willing to work in other areas to support team members, occasionally on short notice.
Can demonstrate the ability to work precisely with strong attention to detail.
A team player with strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work alone under their own initiative.
The ability to work well under pressure and organise and prioritise their workload.
Possess an enthusiastic and proactive, goal orientated approach
Maintains technical knowledge by attending training courses as and when required
Flexibility or willingness to travel to other locations if required
