Our Analytics COE team are at the core of the latest developments and key decisions within our business. We are an expanding team and currently on the lookout for an experienced Data Scientist to join us on a permanent basis.

Within this role, you will hold responsibility for the creation and subsequent review of models following an industry standard methodology. You will effortlessly create value from our raw data, analysing a wide range of structured and unstructured data from both internal and external sources. You will also identify potential bias within predictive models, working collaboratively with the team to overcome this and ensure the model fits correctly.

Working as part of the wider data team, you will deliver and build on our data collection, whilst implementing the ethics strategy across the analytics lifecycle. Presenting to Senior Level Execs will be a regular part of this role, as will continuously seeking out projects and opportunities that will add value to AXA Health.

Please note this role will be a hybrid office/home working set up, which will be reviewed regularly as government restrictions due to Covid-19 evolve. We’re also committed to the work/life balance of our teams, so we’re happy to consider flexible working options.

Qualifications
You will ideally have a BSc in Computing, Mathematics or Statistics, however the key for us is having spent time working in the Data Science/Big Data Analytics space, where you will have gained experience with analytics tools and languages (e.g. R, Python), as well as in big data ethics and model development and validation.

Although not essential, it would be advantageous to have had exposure to Big Data ETL processes, Big Data Streaming insights and programming skills beyond analytics languages.
