Iress is continuing to hire for roles during Covid-19 with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually. Everyone new to the team, along with our current staff, will temporarily work from home until it is safe to return to our offices.

We’re looking for talented engineers to join us and help us to bring our data products to market. We’re aiming to provide greater speed, scale, quality and autonomy to our data engineering teams and we are architecting and delivering this through a combination of poly-cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, DevOps principles, micro-services, API development, SaaS adoption, and use of emerging cloud technologies.

They say variety is the spice of life - well you’ll be building cloud infrastructure, developing data services and capabilities, and shipping software to our clients and end-users.

You’ll also be providing technical advice and expertise to our engineering teams and helping them to focus on innovation, as well as promoting the adoption and re-use of the Iress technology platform. You’ll need to be a good talker and someone who is driven by client and user feedback, consistently striving for ways to improve and automate processes.

We are building data products with a variety of technologies and practices and you’ll be getting your hands’ dirty building solutions that use databases, APIs, ETL, streaming, and analytics/ML.

Dedication to applying DevOps concepts (e.g. CI/CD) to improve the software delivery process is important to us too and you’ll need to be well versed in Cloud technologies (ideally AWS but Azure or GCP is okay with us) and associated infrastructure-as-code technologies (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Packer).

We’re looking for forward-thinking engineers who have a background in software architecture, application development or data engineering at scale (or any of the other good bits in between).

You may currently be working as a Data Architect, Application Developer or DevOps Engineer; as long as you want to take a hands-on role in producing end-user facing products, powered by data technologies, then that’s okay with us! Essentially, we are looking for T-shaped engineers who can work as part of a cross-functional team to get insight orientated products into the hands of our clients and end-users.
