Salary:£53,000

Location: Slough - Hybrid

A fantastic opportunity has come up to work for a genuine market leader, as they look to expand their Analytics team.

This organisation have invested a lot of money into the Business intelligence team, as and they have already moved over onto the cloud (Azure), and will offer training if you’re keen to pick up the skills involved, as well as the chance to work on new and exciting green field projects.

In this opportunity you will also have a voice and be listened, as they are passionate about hearing what’s best for their teams, so you won’t be micromanaged or retracted when it comes to day to day working or ideas tat you think may improve the ay you work.

Day to day activities in the role:

  • Provide technical design solutions required by each development project which forms the BI programme.
  • Display ingenuity and creativity, and application of associated technologies and methodologies expected of a professional business intelligence function.
  • Ensure all ‘back-end’ data warehouse development is in line with ‘front-end’ reporting expectations, ensuring efficient and cost effective delivery.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency at all times, and provide robust technical designs.
  • Responsibility for and (to a lesser extent) preparation of necessary technical documentation, including those necessary for support, and technical design documentation to a suitable level for hand-over to development contractors.
  • Liaise with server hosting on a technical level when necessary to ensure high level of service is provided, and any adverse issues are resolved.

Relevant experience required for the role:

  • Proven experience of SQL data warehousing
  • High standard of ETL
  • The ability to translate business requirements into strategic data warehouse technical development.
  • Understanding the importance and requirements of necessary technical documentation, including technical specifications, architectural diagram and data modelling / dictionary as part of a project.
  • Commitment to conform to standards and processes required for working in a controlled environment.
  • Full working knowledge of SQL Server essential
  • PowerBI

Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft Cloud services(AZURE).
  • Experience in building data pipeline (Python, Data Factory, Matillion)
