By joining our fantastic Technology Innovation and Change team on a two year contract, you’ll apply understanding of cyber security to protect organisation systems and information from attacks and unauthorised access.

You’ll gain valuable on-the-job experience in a dynamic team as you solidify your learning by working towards a Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist qualification.

We’ll also invest in you, as our expert team will be on hand to guide your personal and technical development throughout. We’ll work as a team to kick start your career in the Cyber Security space.

What you’ll be getting up to

As a Cyber Security Analyst Apprentice…

You’ll support the ongoing identification of emerging cyber security risks

You’ll support the delivery of operational IT controls to mitigate security risks

You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of information security policies and procedures

You’ll support third-party security providers in pen testing and security audits

You’ll work with colleagues across Yorkshire Housing to provide information security training and raise cyber security awareness, embedding good practise

As well as all this…

You’ll attend training, completing and passing all related coursework and exams for the Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist qualification.

You’ll provide excellent customer service to your internal customers

You’ll work effectively in your own team and with other teams across Yorkshire Housing

Think you’re up to the challenge? Here’s what we need from you…

An level in ICT/Computer Science or related equivalent qualification desirable

5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above including Maths and English

A passion for cyber security with a drive to improve awareness

An eagerness to learn and develop your skillset, sharing your knowledge with others

An awareness of cyber security concepts and standards

Some experience of security monitoring tools (e.g. SOC/SIEM)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organised

Good attention to detail

Driven and self-motivated

As part of this role, you’re expected to attend college one day a week or for block release and complete the required assignments, along with any associated tests.
