As a large logistics company we are looking for a Customs co-ordinator to join our team. Are you the right fit?

Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm including 1/2 hour lunch break (unpaid)

Salary is experience dependant 40 hour week

Main objective

To manage the documentation and administration of all import and export shipments

Reporting to Team Manager

You will need excellent interpersonal skills as you will need to build relationships with other departments and organisations

UK Departments, European Branches & Other Company RDC’s

Custom Broking Agents

Freight Forwarding Agents

External companies and customers as required

Other team members

Other department staff

Looking for someone with experience in this type of role approx. 2 Years

Key tasks

Responsible for all customs clearance procedures and compliance

Ensuring documentation is ready for all export shipments in a timely manner

Being the first point of contact for our customs queries

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of new Standard Operating Procedures in line with custom changes following Brexit

Generating reports relating to all import/export and customs activity

Manage customer interfaces and expectations to ensure excellent customer service is received

Provide support to the SCM Team as per their requirements

Providing support to Finance Team with any queries relating to invoices

Core skills

Excellent communication and coordination, with both internal and external stakeholders

The Person

IT literacy particularly with Microsoft Office packages

Data analysis and reporting

Warehouse logistics IT system handling

Understanding of Supply Chain Principles

Strong organisation and time management skills

Takes a ’hands-on’ approach with self-starting ability and proactive nature

Ability to work as part of a team
