Join Our Global Team as a Customer Support Engineer!

ECS is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Customer Support Engineer to be a pivotal part of our international operations. As the primary liaison for our esteemed overseas customers, you will immerse yourself in exciting tasks ranging from site surveys and installations to maintenance and training on our cutting-edge ECS COFDM data-link product range.

Location: Wappenham, Northamptonshire, UK with extensive travel

As a Customer Support Engineer International, you will:

- Conduct site surveys worldwide, encompassing fixed, mobile, and ship locations.

- Manage the ordering and packing of installation materials for shipment.

- Coordinate logistics, including shipping and Customs paperwork.

- Perform 2nd line repairs within the workshop at our factory.

- Contribute to the creation of technical publications, such as system manuals and white papers.

- Execute Factory Acceptance Testing on a global scale.

- Undertake site maintenance worldwide.

- Lead installation and commissioning of Datalink systems, Network Monitoring, and Network Voting systems globally.

- Oversee the commissioning of air-to-ground links on an international level.

- Conduct Customer Trials and formulate trial plans worldwide.

- Provide support for Customer Demos both in the UK and internationally.

- Develop and deliver training courses on all ECS equipment globally.

- Capture Customer Requirements for Sales globally.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

- Formal qualification or experience in telecoms/electronics/RF or equivalent technologies

- Experience in operating or maintaining datalink products (advantageous but not essential).

- UK citizenship as SC clearance or eligibility to apply.

- Adaptability and a knack for quickly acquiring new skills.

- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.

- Strong PC skills (IT Literacy).

- A valid/full UK/EU driving license.
