Customer Support Advisor

Location: Paisley (working from home until office re-opens)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £17703 per annum

Why does this role matter?

Reporting to the Support Desk Manager, the purpose of this post is to provide first line telephone and e-mail support to end users of the Society’s applications as well as to external customers

For example, a member of the public who just doesn’t know where to turn for help both within the UK or overseas and we will direct them to the correct expertise in the organisation. So every day you’ll be making a real difference to people’s lives.
  • Provide first class customer service to all enquires, internal or external
  • Troubleshoot problems to find a solution and help the user
  • Build strong relationships with other British Red Cross teams
  • Learn and be able to advise on a number of business software applications that users may be having problems with.

Our customer support team in Paisley are vital to allowing all areas of the British Red Cross to function efficiently. We take telephone calls from either internal users who are having problems with specific applications, and external customers that are looking to speak to specific teams or find out about an area of the organisation.

What we’re looking for...

  • Some customer service experience – be that face to face in retail, or phone support. You will have a knack for being polite and helpful on the phone.
  • Problem solver – someone that can quickly pick up the business areas and different processes in order to help navigate the customer in right direction
  • Orgainisation– keep the enquiries organised whilst keeping the customer up to date with the situation.
  • knowledge/ capabilities to handle invoice/ finance queries from staff, volunteers and external customers/ suppliers.
