Overview:

To lead the Customer Services team, managing two staff members and providing assistance with any issues or customer requests for support. The customer service manager will ensure the service standards of the company are met, from answering customers’ questions to maintaining our customers satisfaction by providing problem-solving resources. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multi task as you will be liaising with other departments including purchasing, planning, factory shift managers and logistics.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Directly managing the customer services team and providing support and guidance to them
  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail with order loading
  • Resolving issues as they arise, including shortages, overs, special requests and collections.
  • Ensure accurate pricing is in the system
  • Liaison between customer services team, purchasing and planning to facilitate a seamless transaction for customers
  • Implement and manage price increases
  • Assist with invoice queries including Proof of Delivery (POD) matters
  • Contribute to upselling within the current customer base and identify opportunities for growth
  • Support the Transport Manager with logistics, including coordinating vehicle runs, handling booking arrangements and rescheduling (when necessary)

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a customer services management role
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Previous experience with Sage accounting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous line management experience
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year
