British Sugar is a home-grown success story and one of the most efficient and competitive beet processers in the world. Around 3,500 farmers based in East Anglia and the East Midlands supply our four advanced manufacturing sites with eight million tonnes of sugar beet every year. We, in turn, make this in to over 1 million tonnes of sugar, serving customers across the UK, Ireland and increasingly growing commercially in the EU and world sugar markets.

Range £19,506.00 to £19,506.00

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to support the Customer Experience Manager to deliver best in class customer experience and to support the Customer Care Team in the delivery of the day-to-day customer service.

You will take responsibility for the maintenance of our customer satisfaction tool, support on sales administration and process customer complaints. As you develop experience, your role will broaden to include customer service ownership of several accounts.

Core Accountabilities
  • Support the Customer Experience Manager with continuous improvement activities in the customer proposition
  • Produce operating procedures in line with customer service guidelines
  • Maintain British Sugar’s service level agreements and review against the customer proposition
  • Active involvement in customer relationship management
  • Produce customer Key Performance Indicators
  • Attend customer visits to build relationships and support the Commercial and Supply Chain functions
  • Account management for a small set of customers to develop advanced customer service skills and to understand different needs and priorities of British Sugar customers
  • Manage administration, reports and customer queries for the department whilst actively reviewing improvement opportunities
  • Producing and running reports for Customer Experience Manager and Customer Care Manager
  • Be actively involved in the delivery of customer service projects
  • Order processing
  • Active involvement in unlocking business opportunities through social media engagement

Good communication skills

Good level of IT skills to include Microsoft

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Presentation skills

Level 4 English & Maths GCSE essential

A Level Qualifications Desirable
