As a Customer Support Advisor within their growing team, you will play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, contributing to the smooth running of the office and ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything they do. Providing exceptional customer service, you will handle enquiries, provide insurance quotations and undertake insurance transactions and general sales tasks with a can-do proactive attitude. You will also maximise inbound sales opportunities, cross selling to their existing clients and assisting with renewal retention by using your excellent telephone manner to make the most of every call.

Duties Include

Review and advise upon customer general insurance requirements
Process all customer instructions for policy amendments to meet required completion standards
Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers
Acquire and maintain knowledge of Insurance products, as applicable to product licences
Obtain appointments for our Financial Advisor, to contribute towards the Agency target
Working within Compliance Framework required by the Company / Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
Use of Microsoft Word & Excel as a minimum
Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers
Maintain record keeping requirements for your role
Produce correspondence to required time frames and quality standards
Perform other duties as assigned by Management Team
Be prompt, reliable and trustworthy
Introduce our Risk Management Services and understand the importance of it

Required Skills

Commercial Insurance experience preferable
Be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
Possess good IT Skills (particularly Outlook, Word & Excel)
Be able to demonstrate problem solving skills and use your own judgement
Have a flexible and open attitude
Proven sales and customer service experience preferable but not essential
Be highly organised and able to work to deadlines

Qualifications Required

Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above (Grade 4 or above)
