We’re looking for a friendly and approachable Customer Accounts Representative to join our Billing Services team in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Join our warm and welcoming team and make a difference in the world of customer service!

As a Customer Accounts Representative, you will be responsible for managing credit billing cycles and exceptions, maintaining crucial customer and meter data, and ensuring compliance with KPIs and deadlines. It emphasizes seeing tasks through to completion, promoting first-time resolution (FTR), and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders. Handling customer interactions professionally via multiple channels, identifying their needs, and advocating for digital self-help is essential. The role also involves logging and escalating complaints, monitoring social media for feedback, and assisting to ensure high customer satisfaction. Collaboration across the organization and mentoring new staff are integral to the role.

Customer Accounts Representative Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite
  • Proficient in navigating social media platforms
  • Conflict resolution
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written with proven problem-solving skills
  • Able to prioritise in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to respond appropriately under pressure
  • Able to listen and show empathy
  • Excellent keyboard skills, ensuring accurate data entry Maintain thorough and accurate customer service records
  • Work collaboratively as part of a wider team
  • Educated to GCSE ‘O’ level standard or NVQ level 2 or 3 in administration or other relevant qualification.
