Using operational expertise and project management skills, you will provide effective responses to business incidents both internal and external. You will manage and develop the future learnings for crime incident response scenarios, whilst giving confidence and reassurance to ensure post incident follow up and escalation are always efficient and effective. You will work in synergy with the wider Business Protection team to prioritise colleague and customer wellbeing whilst finding solutions that maximise profitability by reducing loss.


In the event of a serious incident and/or risk, you will lead the co-ordination of all information flows both internal and external, ensuring appropriate guidance is given to business leadership. The overall aim is to provide a safer environment for our colleagues and customers to work and shop.


To be successful in this role you must have a proven track record of successful project management and strong influencing skills with high levels of resilience to support successful project delivery.


As a Crime & Security Response Manager you will

  • Create and manage channels of information that will inform the business of responses to crime and security risks (both actual and potential) across the business network
  • In partnership with third party providers, recruit, train and manage a team of skilled operators who are first responders in emergency situations e.g. Arcus, Mitie
  • Support for business projects to design out criminality and mitigate any risks
  • To provide subject matter expertise up to Divisional Director level in relation to actual and potential crime threats that range from anti-social behaviour to serious physical assaults. personal
  • Build external relationships to seek partnership opportunities, obtain up to date crime trend information and improve Police collaboration
  • Attend external events, meetings and conferences to keep up to date on retail crime, bringing an ‘outside view in’ to continually refine our plans

What you need to know and show

  • A good understanding of criminal investigations, processes and procedures and the application of criminal law in a commercial business context
  • Experience of working successfully and collaboratively across different business functions and teams
  • Strong background of operational experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels within the business
  • Clear sense of project ownership, ability to follow through, prioritise effectively and get things done
  • Can manage large amounts of data and simplify it into clear messages for stakeholders
  • Challenges the status quo, continually looking for better ways of working and solutions
  • Proven track record of successful project management. You will have strong influencing skills and high levels of resilience to support successful project delivery
