Cramp & Mullaney LLP are looking for another Crime Duty Solicitor to join the team based in Eastbourne.

Applications for this role will be considered from qualified solicitors or equivalent who are duty solicitor qualified.

Candidates will need to have a pro-active approach and be client focused, with a flexible attitude to their work. The role will include court work and advocacy and advising clients at the police station. You will also be expected to optimise opportunities for developing client relationships and manage your own caseload efficiently as well as prioritising the workload of the support staff.

As the duty solicitor, you will be part of the out of hours rota for attending police stations and of course supporting in the preparation for crown court as needed. We are also looking for those candidates who, if haven’t already, are interested in obtaining the Higher Rights of Audience accreditation as this is something we would offer up as an opportunity once the probationary period has been completed.
