We intend to strengthen our Revenue Assurance team through the appointment of an experienced Collections Agent/Credit Controller.

Key Role Responsibilities

This will be a key role within the Revenue Assurance team, reporting directly to the Credit Manager. The responsibilities of this role are diverse and summarised below, and essentially involve managing customer debt.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced candidate to progress their career in a growing and fast paced business.

  • Managing and collecting customer aged debt
  • Analysing and reconciling customer ledger
  • Managing refunds where required
  • Handling customer enquiries
  • Providing regular reporting to Credit Control Manager
  • Working closely with Finance team to ensure accurate bank reconciliations and accruals
  • Enhance and maintain process documentation, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, initiating ideas to develop credit control processes and controls.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have the following Knowledge:

  • As a minimum, they will have an understanding of credit control within customer service
  • An understanding of nominal ledger and other accounting activities is desirable

In addition, the candidate will possess the following Skillsas a minimum:

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • High Volume Processing & fast pace background required
  • Maintains a positive attitude towards routine tasks
  • Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident and assertive where required
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Team player who deals effectively with colleagues
  • Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Exceptional organisational skills

Finally, the candidate will have the following Experience:

  • As a minimum, at least 2 years’ experience working in credit control, and an ambitious and career driven individual
  • Energy sector experience is desirable.
