This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a thriving business within the energy industry, as part of an expanding finance team.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include:

  • Maximise revenue, mitigate credit risk and minimise bad debt.
  • Check customer’s credit and approve or deny applications based on company standards and requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to create a rapport based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Regular account reviews of aged debts to maximise cash collection and reduce aged debt.
  • To liaise with external parties to manage the Debt Collection process.
  • Resolve account queries both internally and externally.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of the credit control system and suggest improvements / implement strategies to increase profitability and reduce bad debts.
  • Strategize and provide an insight on how to improve the business across all financial departments
  • To assist the Credit Control Team Leader in producing weekly, monthly and adhoc reports
  • Maintaining overdue debtor days below given target

  • Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed
  • Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others.
  • Intermediate – strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Microsoft office efficient
  • Proven ability to succeed in a complex and dynamic environment
