The job: French speaking Credit & Collections Representative

Based in our offices in Paisley, this position offers the opportunity for a French Speaker to join our busy Credit & Collections department. Prior experience in a collection’s role is not an essential for this role and will offer the successful candidate the chance to develop exposure to an established business facing function.

What will you do?
  • Perform and evaluate credit checks on new customer accounts according to company policy
  • Check credit limits in place for all accounts within the designated countries and maintain credit limits in line with company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Proactively contact customers, primarily by telephone, in regards to payments to ensure invoice processing and timely payments have been scheduled; plan and prioritise customer calls regularly to maximise collections on the largest open invoices
  • Ensure collection software is updated at all times with regards to actions taken, follow-ups needed, query reporting and most recent customer contact details
  • Update ERPs manually – credit limits, placing accounts on hold etc.

Who we are looking for:
  • Must be fluent in French
  • Educated to higher / standard grade level
  • Initiative and organisation skills are valuable to ensure the timely completion of a large volume of work
  • Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position
